Planet Fitness in Midland/Odessa Offering Free Summer Memberships to High School Teens
Summertime means plenty of downtime for teens, so Planet Fitness is offering all high school teens a summer pass so they can work out for free.
According to Planet Fitness, they are offering free passes starting May 16 and running through August 31 called the High School Summer Pass initiative.
“As the leader in fitness, we believe we have a responsibility to provide a welcoming, safe, and Judgement Free environment for high school students to improve their physical and mental wellness, particularly given the challenges they have and continue to face in the wake of the pandemic,” said Chris Rondeau, Planet Fitness Chief Executive Officer. “Our study found that nearly all (92 percent) high school students agreed that when they are regularly physically active, they feel much better mentally. Fitness is about feeling good, too, and our hope is that High School Summer Pass empowers teens to create life-long workout habits to help them succeed in every aspect of their lives.”
So if you have teens just take them by Planet Fitness at 1000 N. Midkiff Rd. in Midland or 1355 W. University Blvd. in Odessa and get them signed up and they will also be entered into the Planet Fitness High School Summer Pass Sweepstakes where Planet Fitness will award one $500 scholarship for a Texas student, and a grand prize scholarship of $5,000 at the end of the summer.
The scholarship can be used for academic classes or athletic activities.
