Nick Saban spoke with the media on Wednesday for the first time following Alabama's second fall scrimmage, and was pleased with the improvements the team has made.

Saban spoke on several position groups, revealing where each have improved, as well as the areas where improvement is still needed. The coach was also asked about some of the Tide's newest additions on offense, and again highlighted one exciting freshman.

Speaking on wide receiver Kobe Prentice, Saban said, "Well, I think he's shown promise with his quickness playing in the slot. I think his opportunities have increased since JoJo [Earle] got hurt, so he's taken advantage of it and played fairly well."

"I still think he's got a ways to go in terms of knowledge of the offense and doing things exactly how we'd like him to do them, but he's got great work ethic. He works hard everyday, he's got a great attitude, he's really positive and upbeat about what he's doing, he doesn't get frustrated easily, so I think all those things are contributing to his development, " coach said.

Prentice was a three-star recruit entering his senior season at Calera High School in Alabama before dominating opposing defenses and shooting up recruiting boards. He finished the year as a four-star prospect and was the fifth ranked player in the state after posting an incredible stat line of over 1,200 yards and 17 touchdowns.
