Former Alabama Running Back Makes Combine History
Former Alabama running back Jahmyr Gibbs ran his 40-yard dash on Sunday afternoon at the 2023 NFL Combine.
Gibbs recorded a 4.40u in his first run and a 4.36u in his second attempt which made history at the Combine.
"Jahmyr Gibbs recorded the fastest 40 time for an @AlabamaFTBL running back at the @NFL Scouting Combine in this century on Sunday. He was among six players from Alabama high schools and colleges participating on Sunday," tweeted AL.com's Mark Inabinett.
The Ga., native spent one season at the Capstone after transferring from Georgia Tech. During his Tide tenure, he attempted 151 rushes for 926 yards and seven touchdowns, 44 receptions for 444 yards and three touchdowns, as well as 12 kickoff returns for 254 yards.
According to the NFL Mock Draft Database, Gibbs is expected to be drafted in the second round.
