Did Drake just jinx the Crimson Tide's revenge tour season?

Canadian actor and rapper Drake posted a bunch of Instagram photos on Monday. One of those photos is him in an elevator, wearing a black shirt with the words "Crimson Tide" bedazzled on it.

However, that might not be a good thing for the Tide's upcoming season.

For years, a conspiracy theory has circulated about Drake cursing teams when he shows them support. Teams would lose after he would either go to the game, bet on the game, post on social media about a team, meet an athlete, etc.

For example, Drake placed a bet on Duke to defeat North Carolina in the 2022 Final Four, and UNC would go on to end Duke's season in an 81-77 upset.

But that is not all.

In 2019, Drake posted on Instagram right after the new year, while wearing an Alabama hoodie. Clemson annihilated the Tide 44-16 in the national championship just days later.

That same year, he was seen attending a Toronto Maple Leafs game in the first round of the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs during a series against the Boston Bruins, and not only did the Bruins win the series but also made an appearance in the Stanley Cup Finals.

Last season while meeting fans outside of a party in Atlanta, he said "Go Dawgs," and the Tide beat Georgia in the SEC championship two weeks later.

It is not recent either. This theory dates back to as late as 2012, the last time Kentucky basketball won a national championship and the same year Drake publicly started rooting for the Wildcats.

Now, there is one positive to the chaos... Drake is a massive Toronto Raptors fan and the team did win the 2019 NBA Finals so Nick Saban might be making a call to Toronto very soon.
