Texas Tech Basketball’s Jarrett Culver Named AP Big 12 Player Of The Year
It seems like the only thing that Texas Tech basketball has done as of late is just rake in accolades and bring home a championship. The latest award goes to Jarrett Culver, as the Lubbock native was named the Big 12 Player of the Year by the Associated Press.
In the game to clinch the Big 12 Title Culver dropped a career-high 31 points on the Cyclones and they were helpless to defend him. On the season, Culver is averaging 18.3 points and 6.2 rebounds a game, and is also one of three unanimous picks for the AP All-Big 12 first team released Tuesday.
Next for Culver and the Red Raiders is the Phillips 66 Big 12 Conference Tournament where they are the second seed and will play at 6 p.m. on Thursday against the Oklahoma-West Virginia winner at the Sprint Center in Kansas City.
