Najee Harris might be getting ready to start his second NFL training camp, but he recently found time to step away from bulking up and go on Bryant McFadden's podcast, All Things Covered. He and McFadden discussed his draft day experience, what Nick Saban was like after winning a national championship, and if Alabama's 2017 recruiting class was the greatest of all time.

Regarding his draft day experience back in 2021, Harris had quite the tale to tell. Turns out, it wasn't the Pittsburgh Steelers themselves that informed him that they had selected him with the 24th overall pick.

While hosting his draft day party from the Greater Richmond Interfaith Program homeless shelter that he and his family lived in for a while, his agent handed him the phone. The Doggfather himself, Snoop Doggy Dogg, was on the line.

"I spoke with my agent, and he was like, 'hey it's Snoop Dogg.' It's like, 'Snoop Dogg?' I was like, 'oh, wasp bruh?'" Said Harris, "he congratulated me before the Steelers."

After the congratulatory call from one of the most popular artists of the modern era, Harris heard from Mike Tomlin and was welcomed to the organization. He also said that despite all the negative things said by analysts and talking heads about Pittsburgh spending a first round pick at running back, everybody in the Steelers organization was on board with taking him.

"Snoop's a pretty big Steelers fan. Me and Snoop pretty cool now."
