School's out for summer! Almost. For some, the final day of school is this week followed by graduation. For others, there is one more grueling week left. Parents, I'm sure we all wish we could say it will be smooth sailing from here but as a mother of 3, I can safely say, that is absolutely not the case. A parent's job does not end when school does.

You just thought your soccer mom days were over. Here come the endless days at the pool, the new Disney+ subscription you better get your hands on to keep them entertained if you don't have it already. If you're like me, my little one recently dropped and shattered her Ipad, not me rushing to the internet to get her a new one for summer. Not for Christmas, for summer! Help! I have an Ipad free kid and I don't like it. lol She's bored and I'm about to pull all my hair out.

The joys of kids wanting to go out and play with the neighborhood kids only to come in every 10 minutes for a drink because 'it is soooo hot outside' go back outside again and come back in 15 minutes later because it is too hot. So despite throwing out a couple of worst-case scenarios, none of them are the worst thing about summer.

I tend to forget about this one little detail about summer. Kids, no matter what age, DO NOT LIKE TO TAKE BATHS IN SUMMER. I have 2 boys and 1 girl. Once the school bell rings on the last day of school, they bolt through the school doors, free for the 2 1/2 months of summer break and I swear they do not take baths the entire summer. I mean, they might but I don't see it and most definitely do not smell nice things coming from their rooms. Parents, am I right?

Do you agree this is the worst thing about summer?
