Texas Tech’s Davide Moretti Makes Bob Cousy Award Watch List

Monday morning (October 14th), the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced their preseason watch list for the Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award.

Stepping into his junior season for the Red Raiders, Davide Moretti is one of the 20 candidates for the prestigious award.

Last season for the Red Raiders, Moretti averaged 11.5 points per game, 2.4 assists per game, and 1.1 steals per game. He also had a great season shooting the ball, hitting .498% from the field and .459% from three-point range, all while helping the men's basketball program to its first-ever National Championship appearance.

The list of 20 point guards will be narrowed down to five finalists in March. Then, a winner will be selected on April 10th, 2020, at the College Basketball Awards Show in Los Angeles.
