In week one of the 2019 NFL season, Kliff Kingsbury and the Arizona Cardinals took the Detroit Lions to the brink and finished in a draw. Then, they went on a three-game losing streak before notching their first victory of the season against the Cincinnati Bengals this weekend.

The 26-23 win was a big one for Kingsbury, his first in the NFL, but it was also how they won it. It was an ugly game, and Kingsbury and Kyler Murray had to figure out a way to adapt and grind out a win.

Murray finished with 253 passing yards, 93 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground.

After the game, Texas Tech's Travis Bruffy reached out to his old coach to let him know he was thinking about him. "That t-shirt has a different logo on it, but he rocks it just as good," Bruffy said at this week's Texas Tech pregame press conference.

Both Kingsbury and Bruffy try to build on big wins this week, with the Red Raiders facing the Baylor Bears in Waco, and the Cardinals with a tilt against the Atlanta Falcons.

Both teams will enter the weekend as underdogs, but you can't ever count out the underdog.
