Pate joined "The Game" with Ryan Fowler to discuss the upcoming Ladies Professional Golf Association qualifying event that will be taking place at Ol' Colony Golf Complex from Sep. 26 to Oct. 2.

Pate offered golf stories about both of the famed coaches.

Saban told Pate to pick it up when the two were playing together. "That's his tenacity. He did not like it when I wasn't giving it our best," Pate said.

"Coach Bryant was a big man and he hit the ball a long way," Pate said.
