With Von Miller Now Out For The Year How Will The Bills Adjust?
Star Buffalo Bills defensive edge rusher Von Miller is officially done for the season. The news came earlier on Wednesday afternoon as it was discovered during his surgery that he suffered a torn ACL on Thanksgiving vs the Detroit Lions. This is a massive blow for the Buffalo Bills as he is one of their best pass rushers. He is an extremely dynamic and dangerous player who can get after the quarterback very easily. Miller has also won two Super Bowls with the Rams and the Broncos. He adds a steady veteran presence both in the locker room and out on the field.
This Von Miller injury absolutely hurts the Bills long term. They have already had several defensive injuries this season and just lost arguably their best defender. The Bills will need to adjust and adapt and I trust that they can do that with a very good head coach in Sean McDermott. I would slow down with the Bills reaching the Super Bowl just yet because you can't overstate the importance of losing Von Miller.
MJ and I discussed the Miller injury earlier this afternoon right here on Big Board Sports. We both agree it is a season changing injury. It totally changes the defensive game plan for defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier too. Below is our conversation on this.
The Bills do still have a lot of key pieces and have Josh Allen as their quarterback. I still think the Bills can make a deep run but a Super Bowl appearance looks a whole lot tougher without the great Von Miller.
