NFL Players, Coaches Rally Around Buffalo’s Damar Hamlin in Emotional Weekend [PHOTOS]
It's now been seven days since Damar Hamlin went into cardiac arrest on the field at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati, and had to be transported to the hospital.
Though it may have felt like an eternity, in reality, that's not a lot of time. In the blink of an eye, Saturday rolled around, and players across the NFL had to try to focus on playing games again. All 32 teams were scheduled to kick off on either Saturday and Sunday, and in many cases, division races and playoff seeds were determined by the result of the games.
Despite all of that being on-the-line, the reality of Damar Hamlin's situation was not lost on the players and coaches of the National Football League, and hundreds of them took a moment to honor Hamlin before kicking off in Week 18.
NFL Players, Coaches Rallied Around Buffalo's Damar Hamlin This Weekend
As the NFL collectively readied for Week 18, players and coaches took to the field for warm-ups, and many of them were wearing the exact same thing. Hundreds of players and coaches were spotted in Love for Damar t-shirts, with the No. 3 emblazoned on the front.
From Brian Daboll, to J.J. Watt, to Tyreek Hill and beyond, you couldn't look more than a few feet down an NFL sideline without a No. 3 being somewhere in sight.
Teams across the league also acknowledged Damar Hamlin in a number of other ways. At the 30-yard line, teams had the number "three" highlighted in some way. Also, teams showed messages on their video boards inside their stadiums, and fans brought custom signs to show their support from the stands.
