I have to admit, I enjoy watching Jalen Brunson play for the New York Knicks.  I originally was hesitant about the Knicks trading for him in the offseason, but he clearly can be the impact player at point guard that the Knicks need.  It has been a very long time since the Knicks have had a quality starting point guard.  On Wednesday night, Brunson led the Knicks in total minutes played and in points.  He made several clutch shots and was a major reason why the Knicks were able to get the overtime win and are undefeated at home at Madison Square Garden.

Another thing I like about Brunson is how smart he is when on the court.  He rarely ever turns the ball over and seems to always make the right pass or take the right shot.  He is old school in how he plays and he also plays good defense which Coach Tom Thibodeau always appreciates.  He also played at Villanova under Jay Wright and had a very successful career there.  His intangibles and basketball IQ are very high and he could be the guy to finally get the Knicks over the hump and in playoff contention.

MJ and I had a discussion on the Knicks earlier this morning right here on Big Board Sports and Jalen Brunson's great performance and start to this NBA season.  Below is our full conversation on this.

I really hope Brunson can lead the Knicks team to more success because the fans deserve it.  They always sell out the Garden and Brunson gives them more of a reason to do that.
