If you have noticed some activity going on at the corner of Ohio and Colorado in downtown Midland here is what is going on.

According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, a new lounge is planned for the downtown area located at 319 N. Colorado St.

The lounge will be called "Brass Munky" and the owner is Sonny Aguilar. A Specific Use Designation For the Sale of All Alcoholic Beverages for on-premises consumption had been in effect for the property but expired in 2014, now a new one has been approved.

Brass Munky will be open from 10 am-2 am Monday through Saturday, and Sunday from 8 am to 10 pm.

Brass Munky is currently located in The Destination at 1705 W. Industrial Ave. in Midland and is known as Brass Munky Hookah Lounge but plans to move to Colorado and Ohio streets downtown with a menu and serve a brunch menu on Sunday mornings.

This is another night spot putting into downtown Midland as the city tries to revitalize the downtown area with restaurants, bars, and parks.

Centennial Park is a big draw to downtown with its splash pad and areas to walk your dog or have a nice lunch with the buildings of downtown looking down on you.

T'kilas is opening a third location of their restaurant on the ground floor of the Wall Street Lofts where Which Wich was previously located and Cancun Grill has been located downtown for almost a decade now.

The revitalization of downtown is coming along and more should be added to the area in the coming months and years as a part of the Tall City Tomorrow Plan.

LOOK: 50 famous memes and what they mean

With the infinite number of memes scattered across the internet, it's hard to keep track. Just when you've grasped the meaning of one hilarious meme, it has already become old news and replaced by something equally as enigmatic. Online forums like Tumblr, Twitter, 4chan, and Reddit are responsible for a majority of meme infections, and with the constant posting and sharing, finding the source of an original meme is easier said than done. Stacker hunted through internet resources, pop culture publications, and databases like Know Your Meme to find 50 different memes and what they mean. While the almost self-replicating nature of these vague symbols can get exhausting, memes in their essence can also bring people closer together—as long as they have internet access.
