West Texas Barbershop Now Open In Midland
One of the best things you can do, no matter what time of year it is-is support LOCAL businesses! All of us here at the radio stations try to do that as often as we possibly can. That's why when a new one opens, we can't wait to get out there and try it out! Since I moved to Midland from Chicago in July 2020 I've been in search of a place to make it my 'regular' when getting a haircut. Somewhere where the stylist does a great job and takes the time to be detailed, but at the same time is fun and conversational during the process so that it's not awkward to sit in their chair. I have now found the place:
West Texas Barbershop is located at 5400 N. Big Spring Street, Suite K in Midland-in between the big concrete "MIDLAND" sign where all the tourists take their pictures, and Mockingbird Street. You can't miss the big signs pointing the way:
Owner Forrest has taken the time to decorate and make the place unique and "homey" feeling, while at the same time feeling up to date and modern. From the time I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and shown right to a chair. My stylist, Cruz, is absolutely amazing. If you like an outgoing, fun, and upbeat stylist with an amazing personality and who likes to laugh like I do--I suggest you ask for her when you go. Although, anyone there will do a great job for you getting you to the look you came in to achieve.

They have two levels--a lower level when I was for my haircut, and a very nice second level as well for when things get busy. Both are stylish and comfortable and ready for you to stop by:
Here's a list of services they offer. Prices are very reasonable-especially for the level of attention to detail you get. I even got a hot towel on my head and neck after my haircut. VERY relaxing!
They also sell grooming products from a local business as well called "The Daily Grind". I had to pick up "The Duke" for myself!
Stop by and check it out for yourself! I think you'll be glad you supported a local business when you do!
