Texas, Washington Set to Square off in Alamo Bowl
No. 12 Washington and No. 21 Texas will play in the Alamo Bowl on Dec. 29. It will be the fifth meeting between the two Power Five schools and first since the Longhorns' 47-43 victory in the 2001 Holiday Bowl. The teams each come into the game on roll. Washington ended the season on a six-game win streak while Texas has won three of its past four. The Huskies are led by quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who leads the nation with 4,354 yards passing. The Longhorns feature tailback Bijan Robinson, who rushed for 1,580 yards this season.
