On Tuesday morning, Baseball America released its rankings of the top 10 third basemen in college baseball.  The list is based on draft status and was composed of players who are expected to play most of their games this season at third base.

The number 1 third baseman ranked by Baseball America is a very familiar name to the folks in Lubbock.

Here is what Baseball America had to say about the Red Raiders terrific third baseman, Josh Jung.

Jung has excelled since the start of his college career and last year put together an All-American season, hitting .392/.491/.639 with 12 home runs, 39 walks and 32 strikeouts. The righthanded hitter has great feel for the barrel and above-average raw power that he’s learning to tap into. Jung has an impressive all-around skill set and combines it with a strong work ethic and makeup.

Next up for the Jung and the Red Raiders is a Tuesday mid-week matchup against New Mexico State beginning at 2:00 p.m. from Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.
