The Southeastern Conference revealed its women’s basketball coaches predictions for the upcoming season on Wednesday. This preseason poll ranked the Alabama Crimson Tide at fourth, a completely different spot compared to the media poll released last week, which ranked the Tide at tenth.

Brittany Davis also earned a spot on the Preseason All-SEC First Team by the coaches. Davis was named to the Preseason All-SEC Second Team by the media last week.

The Tide finished the 2021-22 regular-season with a 6-10 record in the league, earning the No. 11 seed for the SEC Tournament.

Alabama looks to improve on that, as the Tide returns the majority of its roster from last season, which includes Davis and the rest of the starting lineup. The Tide also picked up several new additions from the transfer portal along with incoming freshman and Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year, Karly Weathers.

The new season tips off on Nov. 7, as the Tide welcomes Alabama A&M to Coleman Coliseum.
