Midland Odessa Pet of The Week

Every Wednesday we feature a different pet that needs a new forever home here in the Basin from Lonestar Sanctuary For Animals. Sometimes it's a dog, sometimes it's a cat. They haven't had any guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, or snakes---yet. But you never know!

Meet Ophilia!

Our pet of the week this week is a beautiful muted Calico named Ophilia! This nine-year-old is as sweet as she is beautiful! Ophilia loves people and starts purring the minute staff walks into her room! You will often find her hanging out in her cat tree but she isn't shy about hopping right up on a friendly lap! When she first came to the Sanctuary, Ophilia was in a room by herself until she could get her new rabies shot. She has recently moved to a room with other cats but so far has been hiding from them. This will most likely change with time but for now, she is more of a people cat than a cat's cat. If you are looking for a sweet cuddly kitty to curl up on your lap and be your new best friend, come meet Ophilia! She is absolutely Purrrfect!

Once home, remember the rule of three: three days to decompress, three weeks to get used to your routine and home, and three months to feel completely at home.
