On Thursday morning, the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper announced their choices for their All-American teams as well as their player of the year.

Texas Tech SS/3B Josh Jung, who was the Co-Big 12 Player of the year found himself on the second team after New Mexico State SS Joey Ortiz was named to the first team.

Jung finished the season with a very respectable .332 batting average. He added 11 home runs and 53 RBI this year as the backbone of the offense for the Red Raiders.

Jung and the Red Raiders take on the Army Black Knights Friday, May 31st beginning with a 3 p.m. first pitch from Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park. Florida and Dallas Baptist will do battle after Texas Tech and Army.
