We work hard and play hard in the great state of Texas, but after we work and play we also like to eat delicious food. Which is why I was interested in finding out where the best waffles are found in the state of Texas.

Let me be clear, not all waffles are created equal. You know when you’re getting a hot fresh delicious waffle compared to one that was made a while ago and then reheated. And another thing that most Texans can agree on that the waffles that have the shape of Texas always seem to taste a little better than ones in the regular circle shape.  

Who’s Making the Best Waffles in Texas? 

Recently Lovefood created a list of the most wonderful waffle joins in each state, and because Texas is the best I skipped past all of the other ones and went to see what came in at number one in the lone star state. The best waffles in Texas can be found between Houston and Galveston at a place called Seabrook Waffle Company (1402 5th St, Seabrook, TX 77586). 

What Makes Their Waffles So Great? 

Seabrook Waffle Company doesn’t just make waffles they make them amazing. They are the home of the Liege Waffle and according to their menu the waffles start at $6.50 and go up to $14 depending on toppings. They have simple offerings and more bougee offerings such as the Eggs Benedict waffle or the Monte Cristo waffle.
