Authorities Release More Details on Officer Involved Shooting in Odessa
It's been an emotional time for all was a tense afternoon in Odessa Tuesday after authorities say DPS Troopers Chad Matlock and Michael Thomas were shot while trying to arrest 24-year-old Roger Dean Shull.
Our media partners at Newswest 9 say that Shull was being tracked by the Texas Rangers, Ward County Sheriff’s Office and DPS for aggravated assault out of Ward County.
The investigation into what happened is still going on, but one trooper was shot in the leg and chest and the other was shot in the arm.
Shull was killed in the gunfire.
Texas Rangers are continuing their investigation.
