Alan Bowman Gives the Longhorns a ‘Horns Down’ Before Texas Tech Collapse
With 3:13 left in the fourth quarter of Saturday's Texas Tech-Texas game, Texas Tech fans were flying high. SaRodorick Thompson just ran 75 yards for a touchdown that put the Red Raiders up 56-41.
The Jones was rockin' (even with 25 percent capacity), social media was abuzz, but as you're told growing up: 'don't count your chickens before they hatch.'
Well, the FOX cameras caught Texas Tech quarterback Alan Bowman making a gesture to the Longhorns sideline after Thompson's touchdown run: the infamous horns down hand gesture.
After Bowman's gesture, you could say that fortunes changed for the Red Raiders, as the Longhorns scored an unlikely 15 points in the final three minutes to force overtime, and then another seven to win the game, 63-56.
