Former University of North Carolina basketball coach Dean Smith passed away Saturday at the age of 83. Smith leaves behind more than just 879 wins (fourth most in Division 1 history), and the honor of coaching Michael Jordan, though.

Smith's legacy is still felt widely today with the coaches who served under him while he roamed the sidelines in Chapel Hill, as well as the ones who are indirectly part of his coaching tree. Here are a few notable ones.
