Spring break is just around the corner and here are 5 destinations you might want to go to that are right here in Texas.
- South Padre Island - A popular place for spring breakers to head to take that long-awaited break from school. Expect concerts, plenty of alcohol, and miles of beach on South Padre Island.
- Lake Texoma - Right on the Texas-Oklahoma border and is a popular place for spring breakers to go not only from Texas but Oklahoma too. You can party it up or just get away from the crowds and fish or picnic. Camping and hiking are great around Lake Texoma also.
- Galveston Island - Plenty to do on Galveston Island like spend time on the beach, take a walk along the seawall, hit up Schlitterbahn, or check out the attractions at Moody Gardens.
- New Braunfels - If you love tubing down a river then the Comal River is for you and can be accessed from New Braunfels. You can also visit other favorite Hill Country destinations like Fredricksburg and Lukenbach which are just a short drive from New Braunfels.
- Austin - If you are looking for great music and a wide variety of it, then Austin is your best bet. Deemed the "live music capital of the world" and with SXSW also usually held in March, there are plenty of concerts that can keep you busy. You can also check out the Barton Creek Greenbelt for outdoor recreation or take a tour of the Texas Capitol.
