The XFL was a failed football league sponsored by Vince McMahon and the WWE twenty years ago. It's now making a comeback and taking it's time to do so. Not debuting until 2020, the XFL has already announced it's host cities and made it official during a press conference via social media this afternoon.

The eight cities that the XFL announced today include, Dallas, Houston, LA, New York, Seattle, St. Louis, Tampa Bay and Washington D.C..

Interestingly, the XFL decided to go to cities all already inhabited by the NFL with one lone exception in St. Louis. The XFL won't be playing games during the NFL season but it will be interesting to see if they can poach fans away from their off-season duties long enough to get them to invest in their own league.

Along with the host city for each team the XFL also announced the stadium each team will play in.

First off, the Dallas team will fill a void in Arlington by using the newly abandoned Globe Life Park, the former home of the Texas Rangers. By 2020 the Rangers will be moved into their brand new stadium across the street.

The other Texas team found it's home in Houston and will play it's games at TDECU the home of the Houston Cougars football team.

You can find out the rest of the stadium announcements in the press conference at the top of the post.
