Texas Tech's recruiting was ice cold for the 2022 class until these past two weeks, when the Red Raiders locked in the class' first four recruits.

The ball started rolling when Hut Graham and Kaden Weatherby both committed to Matt Wells' team. The second two commits came a week later, with the 2022 class getting a big boost of speed. Running back Bryson Donnell and Tyler King both committed on the same day.

The fifth Texas Tech recruit committed with the standard #WreckEm tweet from the head coach. The man of the hour this time is Sheridan Wilson, an offensive tackle from the 16-0 state champion Argyle Eagles team. Wilson is the second member of that offensive line to commit to the Red Raiders after Jack Tucker joined the 2021 class of the Red Raiders.

Wilson is a 6'4" right tackle at Argyle, but as Wells says all the time, he'll just play offensive line at Texas Tech. Wilson was named the most valuable offensive lineman on the District 7-4A Division I all-district team.

Wilson chose the Red Raiders over a plethora of schools, including Arizona State, Colorado, TCU, Washington State, Liberty, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, North Texas and San Diego State.

The Argyle prospect is well known for being competitive and finishing blocks. Wilson said at a football camp that his competitiveness was imparted to him by his older brothers. Wilson will have a chance to play against his brother Preston, who's projected to start for the Oklahoma State Cowboys this upcoming season.
