Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Here are a few Abilene retailers whose doors will be closed.

If we get THAT mad, we'd be better off trying to call one of the Waltons up in Arkansas and yell at them. However, yelling at 18-year-old Aaron isn't going to do anything except make a hard-working local employee's life harder.

Sadly, it has become so commonplace to hear of these things, we usually dismiss it. But when it happens in one of our East Texas cities, possibly to someone we know, we take heed. On a local social media group page, a young Tyler woman shared a frightening experience she had at the Tyler Walmart located at Loop 323 and 64.

They're calling it the "Walmart of the Future."

This marks the fourth year in the row that Walmart will be closed on Thanksgiving.

In New Mexico, three Walmart locations have done away with self-checkout. Is this the beginning of a new trend that we'll soon see here in Texas?

Several different people have told me about the self-checkout getting a bit out of hand at Walmart. Including Leo who said the Walmart in Midland was all self-check, like no one there to ring up your items. I thought yeah he's exaggerating a bit. (I never go to Midland Walmart so I wouldn't know tbh) But this past weekend I was out of town and hit up a Walmart. OMG.
