On this flashback Friday, who remembers the Kmart layaway? I had a conversation with my kids earlier this week about what layaways were. I told them that kids these days just don't understand how good they have it! These days they are used to asking for whatever they want and momma just has to come through, parents we always make it happen.

Happy National Drink Wine Day! Where we going? I'm always down to drink some wine a special day or excuse is never needed. What's your flavor? Mine is always sweet wine. When I'm asked at any establishment when I ask for a glass I always hear, 'what kind do you like?' My answer is always, as long as it's super sweet I'm good.

Be real most of us will choose a Mexican food restaurant simply because they have good chips and salsa. How many times have you been out to lunch or dinner with coworkers or friends and if someone mentions a certain restaurant, a person in the group quickly throws in, 'no they don't have good chips and salsa!' It happens all.the.time.

Look, don't come down on me. My hometown recently got one of these Amazon hubs and everytime I see it, I never really understood what it was for? I was scratching my head thinking why can't people just get their (weekly-or is that just me?) Amazon purchases delivered to their home?

Don't have a Valentine for 2022? Don't sweat it! With the way times have changed, many have found love online through dating sites, on your phone with an app, you can swipe right...or not. There are plenty of ways for you to find the love of your life maybe by this time next year!

If you have lived in the Permian for all or most of your life, you know of all the restaurants that have come and gone. We have had some good ones over the years, and we also have our mainstays. We have our favorites that we visit regularly, the place where everybody knows your name and what your drink and food order will be.

As you drive to and from work, school and home every single day, you tend to get into a routine and sometimes could drive your regular route with your eyes closed. Don't do it but still. lol I am on a few different routes everyday but there is one imparticular that I will avoid if possible. For me, it is one of the most dangerous intersections in the 432.

So I've got my favorite Mexican food restaurants. My go-to restaurants to grab my favorite #3 combo meal and be on my way. But I love when someone recommends a new place to eat, specifically a little 'hole in the wall' restaurant that may not be aesthetically pleasing on the outside but guaranteed you will enjoy some of the best Mexican food you have ever eaten! It never fails, someone you know moves away and within a few months they're saying I sure miss this restaurant or that business. Because lets face it, even though some of us complain on the daily that there ain't a dang thing to do in Midland-Odessa, there are still some things you would genuinely miss if you moved away.
