New Cajun Spot Opens Doors In Temple, Texas After Major Setback
The city of Temple, Texas has many eateries for one to try. From fast food to sit down restaurants, many are eating at all times of the day. One eatery has had troubles getting open, but the owners are making sure they aren't hurting the customer base.
What's The New Restaurant In The Temple Area?
Per KWTX, Lollipops in Temple, a Cajun restaurant, is owned by Sharon and Geoffrey Beverly. These two are no strangers to owning a restaurant. They have 30 years of restaurant knowledge under their belt, with them recently having a place of business in Round Rock for 10 years. Opening the eatery has not been without it challenges however.

Lollipops is at 15 North 7th Street, and KWTX reports that a gas leak caused the business to close prematurely in September, which was sadly also supposed to be the first month for Lollipops in business. Now, the eatery is facing another problem: costs of making the food.

Thankfully though, the owner are taking steps to make sure new customers won't see their wallets hurt as much when going out to eat.
What Are The Owners Of Lollipops Doing To Keep Costs Low?
Recent data has shown that eateries in Texas are going to have a tough time in the future if trends continue. So, to help, Sharon Beverly, said they're already preparing by saying “We’re making sure we’re not over portioning and that what we prep is being sold."
But also incredibly important to the couple is none other than the food they're serving. Per Sharon to KWTX:
“You can’t ever shorten home-cooked meals. If it’s a home-cooked meal it needs to be the right recipe. So we stick with our recipes...Every day’s not a perfect day, but we make it the best that we can.”
Here's to success for Lollipops!
