According to KWTX, Heath Lee Mynar, a 54-year-old former 20-year member of the Waco Police Department, has been arrested and is back in jail facing serious allegations.

Why Was This Ex-Waco Police Officer Arrested on Aggravated Assault Charges?
The incident was first reported on October 4th. Investigators from the McLennan County Sheriff's Office wrote in the affidavit that Mynar allegedly inappropriately touched the young girl while she was on a walk with her grandmother near her porch.
The arrest affidavit further detailed that Mynar, who stated he was in a relationship with a family member of the victim at the time of the incident, allegedly put his hand under the child's clothing and touched her inappropriately. The child later underwent a forensic interview and reported the details.
Former Police Officer Jailed in Child Assault Case
Investigators attempted several times to have a conversation with Mynar, but he reportedly refused to meet with them prior to his arrest. If convicted of the current charge, he faces a minimum of 25 years in prison without parole, and potentially up to life in prison without parole.
The former officer has a prior arrest record. According to earlier arrest records, he was previously arrested on a misdemeanor family violence charge. At that time, Mynar reportedly grabbed his girlfriend by the neck, threw her to the ground, and then dragged her by the neck across the living room.
