The city of Killeen has released a newsletter to inform residents that early voting for the May 2 municipal elections will take place from April 20 through April 28.

Often, residents have difficulty finding voting locations, but there will be multiple opportunities to cast ballots. However, please keep in mind that there will be no early voting on April 21 due to San Jacinto Day, which is a state-mandated holiday.

Residents will be able to vote from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on most early voting days. Extended hours will be available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 20 and April 28.

Early voting locations include:

Lions Park Senior Center, located at 1700 E. Stan Schlueter Loop
Jackson Professional Learning Center, located at 902 Reverend R.A. Abercrombie Drive
City Hall, located at 101 N. College Street

On May 2, the general election will take place to elect a mayor, a District 3 council member in a special election, and three at-large council members.

Election Day voting will occur at designated precinct polling locations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters may only vote at their assigned precinct on Election Day.
