
2025 State Fair Classic Celebrates 100 Years at Cotton Bowl
(Dallas, Texas) One of 107-3 Kiss FM’s favorite annual events, the State Fair Classic at the State Fair of Texas, is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
100 Years of the State Fair Classic
The Grambling State Tigers and Prairie View A&M Panthers will once again take to the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium field at Fair Park in Dallas on Saturday, September 27th, with kickoff happening at 6 p.m.
Prairie View vs Grambling: A Rivalry Tradition
The college football rivalry is now a tradition that began in the 1980s. The Prairie View A&M Panthers and the Grambling State Tigers are part of a game filled with four quarters of great football and an awesome battle of the bands during halftime.
Tickets and Where to Buy Them
This year’s showdown between the HBCU rivals will kick off at 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 27. Tickets for the 2025 State Fair Classic can be purchased through each university's athletic office or One Stop Barbershop in Tyler or Raisin Smoke BBQ & Catering in Kilgore.
Every ticket purchased includes game day admission to the State Fair of Texas, including pre- and post-game concerts, and entrance into the Cotton Bowl Stadium for the football game and halftime show.
Halftime Show & Marching Bands
The pageantry of the State Fair Classic stretches beyond the field, including captivating halftime performances by the Prairie View A&M University Marching Storm and Grambling State University’s World-Famed Tiger Marching Band.

Concerts at the 2025 Classic
Southern Soul artist Fat Daddy will perform a pregame concert, and then R&B group TLC will perform with their "Farewell Tour" for a post-game performance on the Chevy Main Stage.
