Former Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide receiver DeVonta Smith propelled the Philadelphia Eagles to victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Hurts finished the game with 155 passing yards, 27 rushing yards, and two touchdowns.

Smith had five catches for 44 yards and caught the game-sealing touchdown.

The Eagles entered the contest unbeaten and facing up against its archrival. Hurts has been outstanding this season, ranking No. 7 in passing yards with 1,514, has 11 total touchdowns, and has the highest completion percentage of his career (66.8%).

Smith continues to enhance his game. He finished his rookie season with 916 yards in the air. His numbers this season aren't as high as he would like, but his production is consistent. In a crucial late-game drive against the Cowboys, the Eagles needed to score after the Cowboys trimmed the lead to three points. Hurts marched the offense into the red zone where he scrambled right to find Smitty wide open for a seven-yard touchdown.

Philadelphia is still undefeated as the team enters its bye week. Hurts has come a long way as a quarterback since his days in Tuscaloosa. Smith has progressed in the NFL, helping the Eagles become a Super Bowl contender. If Hurts continues to produce at a high level while his team wins, he has a good chance of winning the league MVP.
