Future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady (pictured) can do whatever he wants with his career.  He's earned the right to quit when he wants to.  But as a member of the media, and also as a fan, I say this:

Tom Brady...Please Retire from the NFL....Please!!!

Here's an open letter to the GOAT from me as to why:

YOU'RE NOT AS GOOD AS YOU ONCE WERE

This is understandable as you are 45 years old.  That's right...FORTY-FIVE years old!  No QB has played as well better for longer than you have.  Lest we forget, you led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a Super Bowl victory just two years ago at the age of 43.  Which is one of your greatest achievements in football.

But Father Time is undefeated.  You did throw for almost 4,700 yards this year.  And you led the Tampa Bay Buccanners to another NFC South title.  But if you use the eye test, I/We could clearly see this season that you weren't as consistent in his play.

FEAR OF PERMANENT INJURY

If you believe the tabloids/TMZ, this is why your ex-wife, Gisele Bundchen, wanted you to quit last year.  As people get older, they get more brittle.  But after originally retiring right after the season, you changed your mind and came back for the 2022 season.

The great Joe Montana retired after the 1994 season because his wife/family were afraid he would be permanently injured or disabled if he kept playing (even though he was still an excellent QB).

As a fan, I don't want to see you seriously hurt.  Injuries happen, but I don't want to see you in a wheelchair, either.  Please retire, Tom!!!

YOU HAVE A JOB WAITING FOR YOU IN RETIREMENT

You signed a 10-year deal worth $375 million with Fox Sports last year.  The deal would make you FOX's lead game analyst once you decide to officially retire from football.  It would surpass any of the deals that Tony Romo, Troy AIkman, or Cris Collinsworth get as a lead analyst on TV.

You have a job waiting for you, Tom!!  Please retire!!

AND FINALLY, YOU HAVE NOTHING LEFT TO PROVE

Tom, you've done everything you can do in the NFL.  You've won seven Super Bowls.  You've been to 10 Super Bowls.  Both are Super Bowl records.  You have also won 3 NFL MVP's.  You hold countless other NFL records.

You are generally regarded as the greatest QB of all time (you're the best I've ever seen).  And you're a sure-fire first-ballot Hall of Famer five years from now.

You don't need to do this anymore.  Tom Brady, please retire!!!
