Does ESPN’s Randy Scott Think Mike White Should Be The Jets QB?
The New York Jets are in an interesting situation regarding who their starting quarterback should be. A few weeks ago, the Jets benched #2 overall pick Zach Wilson for poor performance and lack of accountability. Head Coach Robert Saleh then chose to go with fan favorite Mike White who has been a backup for several years. He has had some great moments so far but also has been very inconsistent. He defeated the Bears last Sunday but lost on the road to the Vikings on Sunday. He has been good but hasn't been great. The problem is, the Jets don't have anybody better to put in a quarterback with Zach Wilson and Joe Flacco.
MJ and I were joined by our good friend ESPN SportsCenter Anchor Randy Scott earlier this morning right here on Big Board Sports. Randy is always a great interview and listen every time he is on. He still has faith in Mike White and doesn't really blame the loss yesterday on him whatsoever. White has the talent but just came up short against the Vikings. I do see Randy's point however that the Jets are stuck and have to ride with Mike White and he is certainly capable. Below is Randy's take on Mike White and the Jets.
The Jets are still a playoff team but they have a very tough schedule remaining and currently sit at 7-5 overall. Next up for them are the Buffalo Bills on the road this Sunday at 1 p.m. It will be very tough for the Jets to make the playoffs is Mike White can't consistently play well and if the defense starts to slip down the stretch. The Jets have been a defensive led team this season and they will need to rely on them the rest of the way.
