NFL teams are allowed the opportunity to meet with players prior to the NFL draft that takes place at the end of this month. With the Texas Tech pro day wrapping up and a few Red Raiders looking for NFL homes, it's natural to start speculating where a player or two might land in the draft.

The most likely Red Raider to be drafted is Erik Ezukanma. I'm not saying he'll be the only one, but he's certainly the leading candidate and he might even go in the top three rounds. It's more likely that Ezukanma is snatched up between rounds four and six.

There are several teams that make sense for Ezukanma and a lot of teams need a dynamic playmaking wide receiver, but there's one team that's hosting Ezukanma on a visit today, April 7th, that would be great for Texas Tech fans who've adopted this NFL franchise because of their QB.

That's right, the Kansas City Chiefs are hosting Ezukanma on a top 30 visit.

Texas Tech WR Erik Ezukanma posted to his Instagram story pictures of him visiting the Chiefs’ practice facilities on Thursday.

Ezukanma came to Lubbock after Patrick Mahomes entered the NFL, but they surely know each other as much as Mahomes is involved with the Red Raiders program.

The Chiefs have added Juju Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdez-Scantling in free agency. They shipped off Tyreek Hill to Miami for a bunch of picks and also lost several role player receivers to free agency. I'd say the team is pretty thin at the position right now.

There is speculation that the Chiefs are looking into a draft-day trade to add a big name WR, but even if that's accurate the Chiefs have 12 draft picks in 2022, and eight of those are in the first four rounds.

It makes all the sense in the world for Ezukanma to join the Chiefs in the fourth round, and then sit behind Schuster, Scantling and Mecole Hardman while carving out a role and adjusting to the NFL.

5 Things That Should Excite You About Zach Kittley's Texas Tech Offense

Zach Kittley returns home to Lubbock and Texas Tech as the chosen one to bring back an electric offense to the Hub City that hasn't been seen since Kliff Kingsbury was roaming the sidelines. Can he do it? I believe he can, but I don't think the offense will resemble what he was putting out at Western Kentucky in year one at Texas Tech. Here are 5 things that excite me about Kittley's potential as the Red Raiders' offensive coordinator.
