Can The New York Giants Make A Deep Run In The 2023 NFL Playoffs?
The New York Football Giants are in the playoffs for the first time since the 2016 season. New General Manager Joe Schoen and Head Coach Brian Daboll are at the forefront of the Giants success this season and 9-6-1 record with one game remaining before the playoffs begin. Daniel Jones I believe has solidified his role as the Giants quarterback long term. Saquon Barkley has also proven that is the running back of the future for the Giants organization. It has been a special season for the Giants as they have virtually exceeded every expectation that they were given in the preseason. Below is my quick take on this from the Times Union:
The Giants will be a tough out in the playoffs, because of quarterback Daniel Jones and his ability to beat you through the air and with his ability to run the football. Jones was the best player on the field when the Giants blew out the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, and it's been his consistent play all season that lands the Giants in the postseason for the first time since 2016. The biggest preseason question surrounding the Giants was Jones and if he could take the next step in leading his team. He's answered all the questions and silenced all of the critics.
MJ and I were joined by our good friend Tom Rock earlier this morning right here on Big Board Sports. He has been covering the Giants for Newsday Sports for many years. He is also surprised but excited that the Giants are officially in the 2023 NFL playoffs. Below is our full interview with him.
Next up for the Giants are the Philadelphia Eagles on the road on Sunday. Then comes the NFL playoffs and the Giants could certainly make some noise and surprise even more people.
