Sadly the homicide rate in the United States has skyrocketed since 2019. The homicide rate has risen nearly 37% in 50 of the most populated cities in the United States in the last two years.

WalletHub has put together a list of the top 50 cities in the U.S. that have the highest growth in homicide rates based on per capita homicides in Q4 2021, as well as per capita homicides in Q4 2021 vs. Q4 2020 and Q4 2019.

Maybe I am weird, ok we all know I am, but I like to know the crime rate of a city I am about to visit. Every year we go to Memphis, I always say I don't want to end up on an episode of "The First 48."  They actually used to shoot episodes in Memphis.
