If you always wanted to own Sunland Park Racetrack And Casino In Sunland Park, New Mexico, you should have moved faster. Somebody else got it.

I don't know what combination racetrack and casinos go for these days on average but I'm guessing $301 meeeeeeeellion dollars is a good deal. The new owners seem happy with it anyway.

That's what Strategic Gaming Management, LLC coughed up to take over ownership of the 66 year old Sunland Park/El Paso mainstay. No dispensaries come with it though.

"With the acquisition of Sunland, we are well on our way to our goal of being a scale operator of regional assets with rich histories, competitive moats, and very strong and loyal customer bases," said J. Grant Lincoln, SGM's founder and CEO. "We will continue to invest in our assets and thoughtfully grow our platform while continuing to pursue opportunities that meet our strategic plans. We welcome the incredible Sunland Park team to the Strategic family and look forward to many years of success together." - kfox
