El Paso county is going hunting, on a major scale, for El Pasoans with active warrants. If you have one, you have a few days to avoid some drama.

Every now and then, El Paso decides to clean house and go after peeps with active or outstanding arrest warrants. The county is about to do it again but there is a way for peeps on the hit list to avoid an "embarrassing" moment at work, school or even home.

If you have an outstanding warrant, El Paso county wants YOU. Well, your money anyway - that's usually the prime motivator when city, state and federal governments set their priorities.

Some peeps honestly just forget to pay or don't have the funds and by the time they remember or raise the cash; they already have a warrant. Some just ignore them but, either way, people wind up afraid to settle things because they don't want to go to jail.

No matter why your warrant is unpaid, you have from now 'til Friday, (7/25), to fix things and not get busted.

July 28th - August 1st though, the heat is on. Remember, they know who lives, works and goes to school where and EPCSO, along with several other law enforcement agencies, are going to hit all those places next week.
