The University of Texas Permian Basin has been an integral part of Odessa, Texas, since its establishment in 1973. Over the decades, it has graduated well over 30,000 students throughout its 40+ year history.

Major Changes Are Afoot at UTPB
Beginning Monday, July 28, 2025, a major 16 to 18-month construction project will be underway that will transform not only the layout of some areas of the University, but also neighboring streets. The purpose of the construction project is to build a new campus quad and front entrance. This is designed to give the school a more modern look and charming feel. Here is a map of what the closures will look like.
