San Antonio, Texas --  Roughly around 2006, Charles Barkley angered many of the people of San Antonio when he said on television that the women of San Antonio were overweight.

Naturally, media outlets and people on social media were triggered by this.  I immediately saw right through this for what it really was.  Charles Barkley is an on-air personality.  His job is to maintain viewership.  When he says some of the things he says, he is doing his job.  He intentionally trolled the people of San Antonio so that they would continue to watch, so that they could monitor if and when he said something bad about the people of San Antonio.  Plenty of other personalities do this.  Look at Charlamagne Tha God.  He is notorious for doing this.  Steven A. Smith does this with the Dallas Cowboys by constantly trolling Cowboys fans.  Ultimately, it is a ploy for people to pay attention to the show that these personalities are on.  Nothing more.

Over the weekend, Barkley attended the Final Four, which was held in the Alamodome in San Antonio.  The national spotlight on San Antonio brought in many famous people to the Alamo City.  Charles Barkley was one of these famous individuals.  Per usual, when he was handed a microphone in front of a crowd of fans, he just couldn't help himself and trolled San Antonio all over again.
