So, you say there's a chance? Are we going to see our first SNOW of the season this weekend? The forecast calls for some SNOW chances this weekend here in the Midland Odessa area.  We usually don't average or get SNOW flurries in November, but there is a chance.

CHANCE OF SNOW THIS FRIDAY NIGHT!

A 10 percent chance of flurries with a slight chance of snow after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low of around 30. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph.

MORE CHANCES ON SATURDAY MORNING!

A 20 percent chance of flurries with a slight chance of snow before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph.

SUNDAY SEES A LITTLE BIT OF CHANCE AS WELL

A slight chance of drizzle and snow before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 45. The chance of precipitation is 10%.

NO SNOW IN NOVEMBER FOR THE PAST 6 YEARS!

We usually do not get snow in November. In fact, there has been NONE in the past 6 years in November! January seems to be the month where we see our first SNOWFALL here in West Texas. That seems to be the pattern. So, if we did get a furry or 2 this weekend it would definitely be a surprise.

THE THANKSGIVING DAY FORECAST LOOKS GOOD! 

And, while there is a slight chance of SNOW this weekend, the Thanksgiving HOLIDAY actually looks very nice for the Permian Basin area. Thanksgiving is calling for Sunny skies with a high of about 67 degrees. Perfect weather to enjoy your Thanksgiving with your family and friends.
