50-Year Prison Term For Man Involved In Bell County Assault Case
Mark Tyler Stinson was placed under arrest back in 2023 for alleged actions against his ex-girlfriend. Now, the case has finally been settled, with a punishment handed down to Stinson. Here's what is known at the time of writing.
When The Case Occur And What Were The Reported Details?
Per FOX 44, in December of 2023, law enforcement was alerted to a situation located at the 3200 block of Bordon Drive. It happened around the time of 5:36 AM and at the time of the report, it was identified as a criminal mischief call. However, it was revealed to be much more than that when the officers arrived.
Instead of the situation being at the previously mentioned address, it was actually in the 3200 block of Addison Way. A man, who police were able later identify as Mark Tyler Stinson, was purported to have shot at his ex-girlfriend. A bullet from the gun was also alleged to have hit a residence on Borden Drive.

What Did Police Find Out During Investigations And Questioning?
FOX 44 reports that law enforcement spoke to the unnamed ex-girlfriend. Per her testimony, Stinson "choked her and pointed a gun at her head." In addition, the weapon, identified as a pistol, was fired at her. The bullet did not strike her however.
Following his alleged actions, Stinson reportedly also "assaulted a woman who was with her." The next day, Stinson was taken into custody. The charges against him were "two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of deadly conduct, discharge of a firearm," as revealed by FOX 44.
Stinson was recently found guilty of those crimes, with a total of fifty years in prison being the punishment. As this is a developing story, we will have more information if becomes available.
