There has been a new number-one placeholder on the Texas 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants list, and this time the fugitive is wanted for murder.
Most Wanted in Texas
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has recently updated its list of most wanted illegal immigrants. 32-year-old Jose Osman Aguilar Cantillano, from Honduras, is now the most wanted criminal illegal immigrant in the state.
Texas DPS is offering a cash reward of up to $7,500 for any information that could lead to the arrest of Aguilar Cantillano.
Aguilar Cantillano stands at 5 feet 8 inches and weighs roughly 180 pounds. He is known to have ties to both Liberty and Harris Counties, including Houston.
Why is Aguilar Cantillano Wanted in Texas?
The Honduran is wanted for murder in connection to an alleged involvement in a September 7 shooting at a bar in Colony Ridge earlier this year. Colony Ridge is a neighborhood north of Houston that has had a history of housing illegal immigrants who crossed over into Texas.
When officers responded to the call of a shooting, they found six people with gunshot wounds, two of whom later died to their injuries.
Aguilar Cantillano also has a criminal history dating back to 2016 where he was arrested for assaulting a family member and driving while intoxicated.
