Dallas Cowboys Create Millions In Cap Space as Free Agency Heats Up
No one is throwing around the term "all in" this offseason, but the Dallas Cowboys have gotten to work as free agency kicks off in the NFL. And the Cowboys have already made two moves that will create millions of dollars in cap space moving forward.
Over the past two days, the Dallas Cowboys have created about $56.6 million in cap space to work with this season. They were able to do this by restructuring CeeDee Lamb's contract and Dak Prescott's contract according to the Dallas Morning News.
This is after the Cowboys announced they had re-signed Defensive Tackle Osa Odighizuwa to a four year deal worth $80 million dollars.
The Cowboys have a number of free agents they need to address either by re-signing them or letting them walk. Then Dallas will have work to do during the NFL Draft. The Cowboys have seen the Eagles and Commanders improve in the past year with the Eagles winning the Super Bowl.
The Cowboys don't traditionally make a lot of moves in free agency, but with the money saved after restructuring contracts, they could make some moves to help the offensive line and possibly address the Wide Receiver position.
