Trendy Japanese Clothing Store Opening 5 Texas Locations
While A Few American Retailers Have Been Struggling, Another Far East Retailer Is Preparing To Invade Texas.
A few months ago, we told you about the company "Daiso" which is a Japanese "dollar store" retailer that's been opening up locations all across the state at a time when American dollar stores like "Dollar Tree" and "Family Dollar" are shutting down and closing locations.
We've also reported that other big "brick and mortar" stores such as Big Lots are shuttering locations but FOREIGN brands are taking advantage and moving in to snatch up those consumer dollars the others are losing. Maybe they know something we don't know.
Japanese retailer Uniqlo will open 5 locations in Texas this fall.
Uniqlo describes itself as a retailer that offers everyday clothing items with "the Japanese values of simplicity, quality and longevity, featuring universal designs, supreme fit, and comfort to improve the daily lives of its customers".
The company plans to open up 20 new locations in the US as part of its expansion into North America with 5 of those locations in Houston and Dallas:
- Galleria Dallas
- The Parks Mall in Arlington
- Stonebriar Centre in Frisco
- Memorial City Mall
- First Colony Mall in Sugar Land
Each grand opening will feature promotions, giveaways and special customer experiences.
The Uniqlo location at Galleria Dallas will open Oct. 18 and the locations in Arlington and Frisco will open Oct. 25 while the Houston area locations are also set for openings in Mid-October.
