17 Weekend Events In East Texas – October 11th
(Mix 93-1) This will be one of the busiest weekends when it comes to fall festivals and activities in East Texas. Honestly, it's fall festival overload! From drinking German beer to rodeos, to fishing, to haunted houses, there is no shortage of things going on in the Piney Woods this weekend.
Unfortunately, it's not going to feel like fall this weekend, the humidity will be back, and temperatures will reach the mid to almost upper 80s. Now it won't be unbearable and oppressive like the summer heat, but it will be just hot enough that you'll be sweating while walking around these outdoor events.

Nacogdoches County Exposition & Civic Center - Nacogdoches
The Pineywoods Fair wraps up fair season in East Texas with an agricultural and livestock show featuring competitions highlighting swine, goats, lambs, rabbits, heifers, and more. There are educational exhibits and competitions topped off with carnival rides and lots of fair food. It's your last opportunity of the season to get all that fried goodness!
Fire Ant Festival - Marshall

Marshall will be celebrating the pesky fire for the 43rd year in downtown. There will be live music, a children's area with inflatables, the FireAnt 5k, parade, TourDeFireAnt long distance bike ride, cupcake contest, scavenger hunt, along with hundreds of vendors and more fun for the entire family.
Lindale CountryFest - Lindale
