Lubbock, Texas Will Be Packed This Weekend

Lubbock, Texas will be jammed packed this weekend with two big events toplining the surge of people. If you need an Air B&B or a hotel room for the weekend, you may be completely out of luck. It will be a big enough surge that it should be notable just driving around.

Lubbock, Texas is certainly the "Hub City". We get any number of people coming into town from the smaller towns to go shopping, visit the restaurants, and so on. When you add an event or two on top of that, things can get a bit crowded.

Lubbock Braces For Busy Weekend With Graduation And Baseball Events

This weekend we have two really huge events. First is Texas Tech graduation. Tech's graduation always packs Lubbock and is more than enough to take hotels and the like to capacity.

Also happening this weekend is the USSSA May Double-Play Baseball tournament. This tournament will be bringing in people from all over and utilizing a ton of ballparks around town.

Most of this conversation has been couched in terms of available places to stay, but it's much more than that. First off, all of these people need to eat. Second, many will want to take advantage of our sites and shopping. What I'm getting at is, everything will most likely be crowded.

We're more than happy to have all these guests in Lubbock. I'd encourage you to be a bit more forgiving as they try to navigate Lubbock roads and places. Just try to remember what it's like for you when you visit another town.
